These are gorgeous! I am new to using Photoshop. I was wondering can these be used with Photoshop Elements and do you save them in the same place you would save an action? If yes, I would love to try them. Thanks for making them free too that is so generous. Denise
These are Png. files, and can be used in any photo editing program.
All you do is open a layer mask, and this will be your background layer, now open an image you want to use, this will be your layer one, now all you do is drag your image layer under the background layer, that's all there is to it.
The png. files are large in size, but you can reduce them in size to your liking and to fit the images you want to use.
Your textures are all so wonderful and now these Layer Masks!!! Is it Christmas? Anyway, I must be a real idiot because I just CANNOT get them to work!!! I follow your instructions but when I open the layer mask (it is the background) and I open an image, the image opens as a background!!! What the heck am I doing wrong????? But, thanks for all the wonderful "stuff"!!!!
These are wonderful... I LOVE your site and creativity. You are so generous to share all of your talent with us. Thank-You so much and I am excited to try these.
Jerry, thank you so much!! I was becoming very frustrated with learning how to do work with layer masks and your brief description helped something click for me!!! I am now able to work them and am gonna have a LOT of fun with them :)
Just a quick note to let you know that a link to this post will be placed on CraftCrave.com in the DigiFree category today [04 Mar 01:00pm GMT]. Thanks, Maria
Yes you can change the color, you can also add a texture on top, which I have posted on previous masks, just be sure that the texture layer is on top and you erase the mask part so your image will show thru.
Thank you so much for this Freebie. I want to let you know that I posted a link to your blog in CBH Digital Scrapbooking Freebies, under the Page 8 post on Mar. 05, 2010. Thanks again.
Another wonderful, generous gift! These look so lovely. Can't wait to give them a try. But, I can't get the download page to open. I've tried several times by clicking on the download link under the picture and it acts like the page is loading, but then it opens a blank page. I hate to trouble you, but I really would like to give these a try!
These are beautiful! I have used several of your textures, and just recently figured out how to use clipping masks, and I'm excited to try these out. Your work is wonderful.
Thank you so much Jerry for all the wonderful textures you share! I've used one of the masks here. You're absolutely too kind for this world ;). Thank you!!!
Thanks so much! I downloaded these a long time ago and could not find them, so I was searching for them last night (and found your awesome overlays and much more...going to put you in my reader to keep up now!)...kept searching "frames"...didn't think about them as "masks". But I remembered Rita over at Coffeeshop had made a cute blogheader from them, so a couple clicks and I was back over here! Thanks again!
