Jerry,
Thanks for these. They look wonderful! I used some of your textures on some photos I recent posted on my blog. It is the entry about our stay at the Red Crags B&B. You can see it at needtocreate.blogspot.com.

I tried to put your new banner on my blog and it won't show up. I'm not sure if it something you can fix or something I'm doing? If you know, please let me know. Thanks Denise@cottagesisters

These look great! Still haven't figured out how to do masks in Photoshop. Will add that to my to-do list, LOL.

For us Photoshop ignoramuses (ignorami?), can you point us to a relatively idiot-proof tutorial on how to use masks? I'd love to give these a spin! TIA.

these are really cool.

I really like how picasa let's you enlarge thumbnails.

I've installed something called 'cooliris' on Firefox and it fabulous was to browse your textures on picasa - and other stuff

Cooliris touts itself as a desktop and web multi-media browser

Denise:
Thanks for the banner tip, I was hoping someone would try it out and let me know if it worked.

I think I have it fixed, if you or someone would let me know, I would dearly appreciate it.

Very fun! Thank you, maestro of texture designs. Probably an odd question, but do you listen to music when you are being creative, if so what type? Thanks. carol

Absolutely wonderful!

Carol:
Always, I find music playing in the background very soothing which helps on the creative part.

I like a wide variety of music, and depending on my mood " which changes quite often" but what I tend to listen to the most when the creative spark hits are:

Loreena Mckennitt CDs
The Mask and Mirror
The Book of Secrets

Tom Waits
The Beatles
The Waterboys
Richard Ashcroft
Coldplay
Dave Matthews Band
Peter Gabriel
Sarah Mclachlan
Alanis Morrisett

I'm slowly working on a tutorial on how to use masks, and hopefully I can get it posted in the next couple of days.

A quick note:
Open an image in photoshop, then open a mask and go to the Layers box and click the drop down box and try using Lighten,Screen,Color Dodge, and the other settings, you'll see the results quickly.

Thank you for another awesome set of masks and also for the tip on using them. I was always taught to "clip" the picture or paper to them and I wasn't able to do that with yours. Your tip has now taught me another way to use them! Thanks again!!!

Becky said...

I love these and can't wait to use them. Thanks for the time you spent.

Sandra Harris said...

Can't wait to try these out, thank you so very much for all your free stuff Jerry.
