If By Any Chance ...

Seems I've been tinkering around with Blogger in Draft trying to get my background
fixed "stationary" which was easy on previous blogs I've had, but beings the backgrounds
are supplied with Blogger in Draft the coding is different from other experiences.

If anyone has information on how to make the background fixed in the new Blogger in
Draft layouts, I would deeply and dearly appreciate any help doing so.

My head hurts from dealing with this issue, think I'll rest now!

Hi Jerry, I just tried this and it worked --

Go to the Blogger Template Designer > Advanced > Add CSS -

You'll need to make sure the filesize of your image is under 250K.

Upload your image to a filehost.

Then modify these two lines of code between the lines with the correct URL for your background image and apply it - the image you are using with tile to fill the space
----------------------

body {
background: url(http://www.example.com/image.png);
}

.body-fauxcolumn-outer div {
background: none !important;
}

-----------------------

Hope that helps!
Susan

BTW - when you hit apply the texture does not seem to change, but when you preview your page the new texture is there...

Oh, I was going to leave you the link to the same information that Cat Hair Studios wrote out for you. So nice to have shared the instructions here in the comments :)

Okay, so, you're all set.

If you do have any trouble...here is the link that I have found; although, I've not tried it yet.

I'll have to say, Jerry, I'm glad that you asked the question because I've wondered for myself how to do it...but have been lazy in the research. Why is it always easier to help out another than to help ourselves?

I am probably the most novice of anyone who visits your site. I love your creativity. I would like to try some of your ideas on my blog page, but I will need to call in the Blog Squad to help me out.

Thanks so much for sharing your talent.

On your blogger dashboard, go to :
