If I may have your attention please ...

If I may have your attention, please ...

A rare occasion that I speak,so to speak, well, you know what I'm trying to say, I hope.

I must say I'm deeply astounded and grateful for all of you wonderful followers, and if I
could ask a small favor, I would appreciate any input or help spreading word of my
textures, for I really believe that sharing is caring.

I appreciate your time and any help, thank you.
I hope I don't come off as a pimp, not my intentions.

I love your blog and your textures...I've kinda been pimping them out for weeks now to those that follow my blog. I'm completely inspired by what you do. Keep them coming!

SPREAD WORD ON YOUR TEXTURES?! Are you kidding?! Everywhere I turn now people are referencing YOUR textures. Well done! I know when I use one I attach it to you. One of the biggest photography forums going out there right now is "I Heart Faces." Your name is used every time someone asks about a texture. I think you are the one! Thank you!!!!

I put a link to your Flickr Account whenever I use a texture for an image I post. I've also included you in my second Things I Love Thursdays collection and gave appropriate credit. I love that you take your precious time to create and share such amazing work. In this day and age, when you can't even seem to get a simple clip art image for free anymore, I truly appreciate your talent!

I always link you up, both on my blog and flickr.
Always so appreciative of your generosity <3

I will continue to spread the word on my humble little blog. And you've inspired me to do a post tonight which will be on your textures. I hope. I've had a block lately or maybe it's just lack of something to say. That's' a block, I think.

I've been silently following your blog for a little while now and have just mustered up the courage to start my own (very amatuer) photography blog (debuting later today-super scary!). I am putting up a link to your blog and anytime I use one of your textures(which I am having fun with!) I will be sure to give you major props. Thanks for creating all the wonderful textures, I am having fun with them!

When using your textures I always make sure that your name is there.I know I couldn't have done it without your wonderful work and I want to share the information with others who may be interested in knowing about the textures used.

Always grateful,

I always give credit when I use your textures....it's only proper, but I also give people your blog link all the time. I am glad to know it's OK if I do. Yesterday, in fact, I shared it with a person who asked me how to process a particular image like one I had....I am in a private 365 group and I put your link in a thread there too. As one of the most prolific and talented artists I know, I am glad to share you as a source. You are certainly appreciated across the flickr/blogosphere/artistic community and one of the most well-known, I think. Have a great week. Julie

I agree with and applaud your 'sharing is caring' philosophy. I'm just so grateful that i can feature your textures and tutorials on my monochrome blog. Purists can say what they like, but we all know photo manipulation has been done since camera obscura. What you do is art and your blog inspires us all. I've even started making my own textures. Without your encouragement i never would have tried. :) Lizzy

I too have you on my little old blog and tell everyone I know where to find all the BEST textures out there! Your hard work talent is SO appreciated by me and will ALWAYS give you top notch in credit in anything I use of yours - you deserve it! Many many thanks Jerry! I will spread the word more about you as much as I can :-)

I adore your textures and I deeply appreciate you sharing them with everyone. I grabbed your blog button picture (first the angel one, now the dandelion) and have posted it on my blog. My followers know that I use your textures in my special pictures, and I have been sending the folks your way. (And I remind them to thank you, LOL.)

How about a permanent link in my sidebar under Resources, too?
Another thing you/we can do to spread the word is to use Stumble Upon...

I love your work & was referred to your wonderful work by someone else.

One thing that might be helpful for people remembering to give you credit would be to stick your id into your file names. Example: "shc texture 1" or "jj texture 1". shc-shadow house creations or jj-your initials or whatever you choose. That way for some of us who are not the best at organizing our downloads will not have any doubt whose texture we used. Just a suggestion, take it or leave it.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful work!!!!

hi jerry
another jerry 'pimp ' here too!
I always mention you on my blog, whenever, I use your textures[which are the absolute best], in fact some of my blog buddies may well suspect I have a little bit of a JJ crush a happenin!!
seriously though, I think the best way to get your work out there is facebook, so many are using that now, more than blogs! Many link their blog posts to FB,and they automatically post to their FB as well.
Many bloggers are no longer blogging also, just FBing!

Rita said...

Jerry, you probably know I am one of your biggest fans, just on the verge of being a stalker. ;-) Your button is on my blog and I mention your blog weekly in my posts.

Please promise me you will continue to blog and share!!! I seriously don't know what I would do without my ShadowHouse fix...

You know I love your work, Jerry..I spread the word when I use your stuff. Thanks for being so generous:)

Spread the word? I'm very new to the texture world, but this is the first place I'll send anybody who asks. The best textures... wonderful tutorials... I almost feel guilty using your work, because it almost looks like I know what I'm doing. I'll spread the word as best I can, and if you have specific requests on how to better do that, please post them. Any thing to repay your generosity.
