How To Kill LinkWithin From a Blog:

Anybody know how to remove LinkWitin from a blog.

I've spent most of the day searching and trying to remove the LinkWithin application from this blog, and still no luck.  Any help would be dearly appreciated and needful.  I'm wanting to change some things around and clean and minimize the looks, but the damn thing won't die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

don't you just remove it like you do a widget? I remember I have LinkWithin and just delete the widget and that was that

Lissa...

It's embedded in the HTML, and not in widget form, and I can't find anything referring to LinkWithin in my HTML code.

Honestly, I've spent most of the day dealing with this, and I'm real close to starting all over with the blog, something I'd really not like to do, but I'm that determined.

Wish I could help, Jerry . . . if you can't find it in the HTML code, I can't imagine how you get rid of it. So frustrating, I'm sure - good luck!

now that I see Ann's link - I think you might try checking the "expand widget templates" which will show more of the html

another recommendation is to -- Go to the site where you copied the code from and find out how you have put the code into your template

& for more help, you can try searching the blogger forum - that is where I got the above info from -- which I find very helpful:

On my Computery blog, LinkWithin is in a widget in the sidebar. Going into the html of the blog (type CTRL + F to get the 'find' box) enter LinkWithin and it'll take you to anywhere you have this in your code.

In my case, it didn't make any difference expanding the html template - the same tag showed up in both cases:

and it was situated just above this section:

Just click 'delete' and you should be able to eradicate it. Hope this helps!

So glad I was able to help - nothing more irritating than bits of code you can't get rid of!

Love the new look by the way.
