You'd Be Surprised texture

You'd Be Surprised texture: At first glance the texture "Posted On The Bottom" is dark, grungy and down right ugly. Don't let the darkness fool you, it has a wonderful ability to
bring out and enhance contrast and details in images if used right. Two examples below show the before and after effects by just selecting a supporting layer mode within Photoshop.

Roll Cursor over image to view rollover effect:

TeaTime: "Pictured Above" I applied the "You'd Be Surprised texture, then set the "Layer Mode" to "Overlay" and the opacity at at 100%.

Bubbles: "Pictured Below" I applied the "You'd Be Surprised texture, then set the "Layer Mode" to "Soft Light" and the opacity at at 100%.

Roll Cursor over image to view rollover effect:

This is "You'd Be Surprised" the texture used in the examples.

Thanks for your wonderful blog, tutorials and textures that you provide. They are greatly appreciate. I have just begun experimenting with the addition of textures and am very excited.

I've had a problem though accessing the download for several of your posted textures. Just now, I tried to download your "You'd Be Surprised" texture from the Picasa site. The link takes me to the Picasa page, and when I click "download" the button does seem to "depress", but nothing happens. I have tried this in both Firefox and Explorer, with no luck. If you have a solution, please reply--I've set blogger to send me an email of responses.

Thanks so much!

To Unknown,
sorry you're having problems with the "You'd Be Surprised" texture, but I just clicked on the link and selected download and everything worked fine, all I can say is, try it again and if you still have problems let me know and we'll work something out, maybe email it to you.

Hi!... just found your site today and I'm blown away by your creations they are so fabulous... this particular link however tells me the page I'm looking for doesn't exist... would it be possible to reupload it? Thanks so much if you can... if not thanks for all the other great textures you've made and shared.

Great website and Thanks for sharing your great creations. Found out about you from Denise Ippolito from one of her talk at the Orlando Camera Club. Great use of your overlays.
I am not having any luck with downloading the "you'd be surprised" texture. Anyone wants to help me out here? Thanks.

Hi Jerry tried to download "You'd Be Surprised" texture but picasa said file not found, thanks for sharing your other textures, awesome, you are too talented for words

Jerry Jones said...

The link to the texture has been fixed and is working.

My Google + page is originally Jerry Jones, and I made a page and named it Shadowhouse Creations, and it seems my Picasa textures posted are linked to my Jerry Jones page instead of Shadowhouse Creations.

If anyone knows how I can fix this, it would be dearly appreciated.

In fact I would love to dispose of the Jerry Jones page and just keep Shadowhouse Creations, again, any help would dearly be appreciated.

Narvin Gumbs said...

Still not working, but thanks for your efforts

Jerry Jones said...

Narvin,

I just tried and it worked fine.

Give Picasa time to load it, and select options link at the bottom and select original size then download.

Narvin Gumbs said...

Ok this is really silly, but I am getting no luck. When I click on the link I am asked to log into Google+ . when that loads there is a message stating "You do not have permission to view this album."
Request permission which I did on many occasions.
This embarrassing, but it just isn't working for me.
maybe another way to download like the other links on the site.
Thanks

Jerry Jones said...

Narvin,

Sorry, but I'm over hosting images on Google + or Picasa, what a cluster F@#K!

I promise the link works now, click on link at the bottom and select Original size.

Narvin Gumbs said...

Thank you Jerry. It worked like a charm.
Keep up the great work.

Thanks again!
