Sorry for the long absence, but personal health and family matters have been of most
concern over the last month. I'm saddened to say that a member of my family has
passed away recently and the aftermath has left me quite numb.
If this wasn't enough, a family pet of twelve years passed away a week later, not the
way I was hoping the Holidays would start out. Christmas is my favorite time of the
year, but trying to get in the Christmas spirit is rather tough this year, so I'm looking
forward towards the new year.
My New Year resolution is to get back to posting on a regular basis and to work on
my facebook page, still trying to find a way to have my blog posts automatically post to facebook.

It seems so many including our family are having sad times recently. Which does make it difficult to get into the Holiday thing. I just watched The old Dickens Christmas Carol movie with Alistair Sim. It helped a bit so I can get the tree up for the grandchildren to enjoy.
I hope your Spirit shines through all that has happened in your life, so you can express who you really are. We miss you too.

I'm sorry about the bleak and distressing events in your life lately; they surely do cast a pall over the holidays, but the people in your life don't expect you to bubble over with holiday spirit under the circumstances, so take some time for yourself and focus on healing. Jerry, we have had a very recent death in our family this year and it makes a festive spirit difficult. So very sorry to hear about the loss of your pet.

I just have to comment. I too lost a loved one last July and then a pet of 15 years I had to put to sleep shortly after. I quit blogging and lost all interest in my camera and life pretty much. Just starting to get back into it all.
